Teenage talent Sverre Nypan is starring for Rosenborg.

He made his debut aged just 15 in 2022 when he started one of the last matches of the season, becoming the club’s youngest-ever player in a competitive fixture. After that, he went on to establish himself as a regular starter on the left midfield in their favored 4-3-3 formation in 2023.

He more than held his own in Eliteserien, which is quite an impressive achievement for a 16-year-old who played just over 1,500 league minutes in his debut season. The youngster showed excellent positional understanding as he liked to take up threatening positions in and around the box high up the pitch, posing a noteworthy goal threat as he scored five times last year and unlocking defenses with his dribbling too.

Nypan has started all seven of Rosenborg’s league matches in the early days of this season and continues to impress, so he will certainly be attracting a lot of attention from all over the world. His current contract at Rosenborg runs till 2026, but many of Europe’s top clubs will surely be lining up for his signature when he turns 18 in December if he continues to develop at this rate.
