Miguel Gutiérrez has been exceptional for the impressive Girona.

The ex-Real Madrid left-back has shown great all-round qualities as an integral part of Míchel’s flexible tactical setup. His ball retention, combined with his fantastic link-up passing and dribbling abilities have made him a real threat going forward, and he has also done a solid job defensively whenever called upon.

Real Madrid are facing a bit of an issue on the left of their back line as they have often had to field midfielder Eduardo Camavinga out there, so they could well be regretting parting ways with the 22-year-old Fábrica graduate.
