🇲🇽 Pumas’ César Huerta is an exciting developing winger

Pumas’ César Huerta is an exciting developing winger.

A graduate of Chivas’ youth academy, he never managed to break into their first team and spent the early years of his senior career out on loan at various clubs in Mexico. Finally, he decided to leave Guadalajara at the end of his contract in the summer of 2022, joining Pumas as a free agent.

Chino has since seen regular game time over the last two seasons. He certainly is a very lively ball-to-feet winger, regularly getting people off their seats with his dribbling. His ball retention has significantly improved over the last couple of years, while his attacking output has been decent too.

The 23-year-old winger still has room to develop, particularly with his shooting quality although he started to get into dangerous positions in the box with greater consistency of late. Clubs around the world will surely be monitoring his progress as he leads Pumas’ attack in the upcoming Liga MX Clausura playoffs.
