🇵🇾 Alejandro Samudio is a player to watch in Paraguay

Alejandro Samudio is a player to watch in Paraguay.

The 24-year-old winger has played for a lot of clubs in his home country so far. After coming through the youth academy of giants Guaraní in 2020, he spent a couple of months on loan at 12 de Octubre. He spent a season on loan at Fernando in 2021 and went on to seal a similar deal with Sportivo Ameliano, who went on to sign him permanently.

He enjoyed a very good 2023 campaign with Ameliano, playing a key part in his team’s attacking play and also chipping in with some goals thanks to his ability to get into dangerous positions in the box and fire shots off.

It is unlikely that a player in Paraguay is picked up by a major club in a stronger league on the back of just one impressive season, but many sides will surely be keeping tabs on Samudio’s progress. If he can maintain the levels he showed last year, our model believes he would do quite a good job in Major League Soccer.
